I'm a Commercial Manager in the Service Management office in HSBC. The primary focus of my role is to act as liaison between the Operating Bank and the Functions that provide the services to the business in HSBC. From an end to end perspective I need to ensure that I understand the services and their construct to be able to articulate and support the functions.
I think I have mainly developed existing skills the apprenticeship, has been very helpful at helping me to remember and reinforce in a more structured way the key skills that a manager needs to have in order to be successful.
I completely enjoy the programme, I like the fact that I can do it at my own pace and taking in consideration my work commitments.
I do feel valued, specially as I have recently moved to the UK and my manager has been very helpful at guiding me through that process.
I would give it a 10 as I do think that there is a clear structure on what needs to be achieved and by one. You have a tutor that is constantly providing feedback and making sure that you are keeping up with your studies.
I think the fact that there are onsite workshops and there is a tutor that is constantly following up on your progress helps a lot as this is a type of training in which people need to be very disciplined otherwise you can loose track of the progress.
My Manager supports all my decisions and appreciates the fact that im not only doing my job but also this programm
Im comfortable with what I receive.
Yes, they are but Im committed to HSBC as I have recently joined this new role.
Yes

Just make sure that you ask questions about what you want to do and what are going to be your responsibilities.
