I am a apprentice who is challenge with muliple different tasks each day which involve objectives such as facing up the whole store, using the radio, helping customers look and find the items they were looking for and I also help with delivery’s and know different techniques on the hand held terminal
All the skills that I have developed during my apprenticeship we’re new to me, I and learnt many different skills that I never knew of before hand such as, the HHT having multiple different functions
I enjoy my program as it hasn’t just developed my knowledge for the stock, store and vision, it has also help me get better At my maths and English.
At savers I feel like we are all valued equal, however my manager takes into consideration that I am here to learns and helps me to gain knowledge on many different tasks
I think my program is organised to the best it can be, I also have regular checks on my work every 2-4 weeks making it easier to complete my work and to see if I need help in any areas
My train provider has been great since the minute I started my apprenticeship here and savers, she always tries to benefit me in everything thing she does, she know I struggle to understand question most of the time, and she helps to simplify them to I have a better understands.
My employer supports me with the training that is on my training log and makes sure that I fully understand everything I need to do to support my roll.
I think the salary package is really good and better that a lot of other employers It pays for everything I need and leaves extra which means I feel happy with my roll and don’t wanna move.
I have the opportunity to network with other people in different stores. I will be attending a workshop with other people across the business in both saver and Superdrug which will help me to understand different retail businesses.
