I am an associate in the Business Services Group team. We prepare accounts for businesses and so my day to day role very much incorporates accounting.
Both. I continue to learn new skills in respect of accounting, but also improve skills such as written communication etc.
I love my programme. I love the variety, the people and the firm.
I feel like every single person here matters. Shared Enterprise helps to show that that is very much a firm wide feeling.
Very well structured. I am allowed to take part in a lot of different experiences and challenging pieces of work, helping me to develop.
Sometimes the lessons can be hit and miss, but there is always a tutor to go through things afterwards if need be. Generally it's pretty good.
A lot. I am never left on my own when I'm unsure with things- there is always support available.
Pretty well considering my level.
Lots of opportunities. As a school leaver I have already presented sections in our business updates, started my own initiative, and are part of 'extra curricular' teams.
Yes
It's amazing. You have so many opportunities in a firm that really cares.
Be yourself and make sure you're applying because you want to be part of Grant Thornton, and not just part of an accounting firm- we are different!
