NHS VAT Advisor Face to face with clients, go to site in order to do compliance reviews. Help senior members of staff in the office with billing, drafting emails and other office duties.
I have learnt so much in my short time. I am now far more competent with excel in particular. I have learnt about VAT especially in the NHS.
I really enjoy the work and the team I work with and the culture of EY make it an amazing place to work.
I feel as though I am appreciated within my team and I am always thanked/ told when I have done something well.
The programme is structured OK. I understand it is a new programme so is bound to have teething problems, however on the whole it is very good. Sometimes, I feel as though it could be a bit more organised. Internally within the team I work in, it is very organised and a credit to EY.
The training provider give a lot of support, will always respond to emails. It is especially helpful as when we do our 2 week learning there are tutors available most of the day.
EY are very supporting of school leavers in all aspects of the job and in life. Flexible working is especially good and I would never have expected such understanding and flexibility on a down to earth level from such a large company.
For my age and experience my salary/package is very good. I am very happy with how much EY pay it is competitive with the Big 4 and I have much more money than I would if I was at university which really helps you to enjoy life and work better. Travel costs are reimbursed when meeting clients and this helps a lot. However, with my role meaning I can be anywhere I would like more support when it comes to a car as the EY Car Scheme is not available to our agr group which makes owning a car, especially with insurance and running costs very expensive.
EY always have opportunities outside of work, no matter what it is you're interested in they seem to have something.
Yes
EY is an amazing company to work for from my experience so far. It has a feel to it which is much different from what I get from other firms. The people, the culture and the success make it a great place to work.
Be yourself and don't be afraid to be confident in what you have acheived so far. Don't worry about the interview/assessment days as the people interviewing you will have been in the exact same sittuation one day. Do not hesitate to apply for EY as you won't regret it.
