Business Admin Apprentice working at level 2 Basic administration dealing with internal people mainly and sometimes take external calls
I have expanded my administration knowledge but have reached a wall where I don't believe I can learn more.
I enjoy the actual apprenticeship and completing the tasks sent, but do not enjoy the role as it is very restricting and I do not believe there is anything else to learn.
I do feel valued but I feel very stuck in my job and I have been told I am unable to change jobs while I am on the apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship is well structured and the online resources and text book are great. I get a lot of support of my tutor and I really like her. One file where I long my progress is really well designed and easy to use, it is very efficient.
I receive support on all my units and you can contact her very easily on email or phone.
I do receive support but find the environment not very pleasant sometimes.
The salary is excellent for an apprenticeship as I am on the normal wage for my job, but I am given a lot more responsibility then my colleague that are not on the apprenticeship and therefore I find it unfair I am not on more.
IM are very involved with charities and we are given a charity allowance each year which is nice
No
I believe there are better well paid admin jobs, as for the rest I am unsure as I have not had chance to work in these roles.
Don't go for an apprenticeship in admin as is very restricting and can stop you from moving up in the company at your desired rate.
