I spend 3 months at a time shadowing qualified technicians, learning production areas and other support functions.
I have put into practice the skills I learnt during my 1st year at college.
I enjoy what I do. It makes getting up at 5AM bearable
Within the plant I feel very valued due to the efforts I make. As a group worldwide though I believe we could have more to do with the world outside of our Plant.
Most of the time the organisation at work is good
The training manager provides a good level of support but is also very busy so time is sometimes an issue
A lot of support is provided from the company financially and skills/training wise
The salary is very generous as well as the company car scheme. I will have my own house the year after I qualify all thanks to the salary I earn.
There are lots of oppurtunities to support events however there isnt much in the way of recreational events taking place.
Yes
They provide a job that can be for life and there are very good progression routes within the company should you be willing to make the effort. This is proven with the amount of senior managers that are ex-apprentices
Lots of people dont apply because they dont believe they have a chance. Someone has to get the job and if I approached applying with that attitude I wouldnt be in my current position.
