My role is that of an apprentice maintenance technician, my daily tasks involving reacting to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenacnce.
I have learnt a large amount of new skills beginning at college we lernt hand tooling skills and machining skills and now we are constantly learning new things during the placements.
I enjoy the programme as a whole.
I feel very valued by BMW group as i feel they appreciate that apprentices are the future of the buisness.
The programme is well organised and clearly structured, from the start we where aware of what we would be doing throughout the different stages of the programme.
The training provider for our programme offers a good amount of support and the staff there can always be approached with an issue.
My employer gives me a large amount of support on a day to day basis, we also have weekly team meeting where any problems can be discussed with the programme manager who will support you in resolving the issue.
My salarly meets my costs well as it is very competitive.
There are a number of oppurtunites oitside work, some are provided by the company such as the mountain challenge and family fun day and some are provided by the training provider such as football and gym acsess.
