I am in Customer Services. This includes speaking to our sales team, distributors and customers dealing with returns that are raised. My daily tasks include logging returns, arranging collections, applying credits and authorising credits. I am also a mentor for 2 members of our team so I need to look after them and make sure they understand their job whilst answering any questions they have.
My communication skills have definitely been improved as well as my confidence and knowledge in my role. Due to the different training I had during my apprenticeship it has helped improve my Excel and Outlook skills as well.
I enjoy my job and the team I work in is great. The company and culture is also really good.
I do feel valued by Softcat. I think I get a good amount of appreciation from my manager which is really nice to see/hear.
My apprenticeship was well structured. We had regular visits from the person that was running it and coursework was often marked on time. Our internal support at Softcat was really great as they made sure we had enough time during the week to complete this.
I feel as though we received a good amount of support from the training provider.
Softcat were very good at supporting me throughout the program. My manager and also the dedicated apprenticeship leader were really helpful.
I would say my salary just about covers my costs.
Softcat hold a lot of external events that we can get involved in.
