I am in the assistant manager role so my job consists of controlling availability on the shop floor, managing the team, assisting the store in hitting our KPIs and controlling the rotas in store. I will always make myself aware of issues that need addressing on the shop floor and delegate affectively to ensure the shop floor is looked after.
I have learnt so many skills during my time at Aldi. I have learnt how to build a working relationship with colleagues and how to manage a large team of people. I have built my confidence by managing different types of people. I have learnt the skill of ordering stock for the store and controlling KPIs through rota control.
I enjoy the responsibility and challenges of the role and I thoroughly enjoy the programme
I feel very valued by Aldi and my team members
The store training has been very well structured and organised and has allowed me to develop into the manager I am today. The qualification side of the programme has been very unorganised at times due to changing supplier and trainers. Throughout the last four months this has been restructured and has become much more organised
I received minimal support from the qualification provider due to unorganisation and lack of contact
I receive a lot of support from my employer and I always know my questions will be answered by my team members and area manager.
Due to living locally, very well. The course works great for me.
There are always the opportunities of courses outside of work to develop and careers events which I have expressed interest in

The company allows you to develop and gives all of the support you need if you are willing to work for it. The challenges of the company motivate me more and make my job rewarding.
Always remain positive and professional as this attitude will motivate and support the team and will achieve the best results.
