I am currently an apprentice manager but also undertake the tasks of a store assistant, day to day I keep on top of availability in store and manage staff, I also run the store as a manager weekly and am also in charge of the safe and till floats. I Also manage tills and make sure customers aren’t queuing for long periods.
I’ve learnt how to manage staff and work as part of an effective team, this goes along with learning how to run an efficiently working business, I’ve also gained more experience in social communication and social interactions i.e with customers, members of staff and contractors. I’ve also learnt a lot of knowledge based information from ITEC my apprenticeship company.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship, it’s allowed me to gain real experience in the management section of retail without studying through a uni course or college course etc, my colleagues are exceptional friendly and were very welcoming at first, and made me feel part of the team straight away
