My role was an Associate in the Audit team which involved working out on client sites for the majority of the time and helping my team to complete the relevant tasks associated with an audit.
I have been taught many skills during my first placement with PwC and am looking forward to learning more on my next placements.
The PwC Flying Start program is very challenging at times but the rewards justify the hard work needed. I enjoyed my time on placement due to the fun and friendly staff tht I was working with.
The Flying Start students within PwC are highly valued just like everyone else in the firm. I was made to feel very welcome from the get go.
I believe the program is organised very well. The modules we learn at university coincide amazingly with the work we are presented with whilst on placement.
As I go to university for my training, the support I get is what any student would expect from uni. The lecturers and my personal tutors are always available to help.
PwC will always be available for any questions that I may pose to them, no matter how small. As they want us al lot excell in what we do, there will always be someone to help you along the way. My people manager and my flying start champion were excellent at this.
This is arguably the most beneficial part of the course. The pay is amazing and the accommodation support cannot be praised enough. PwC provided me accommodation and paid me a healthy package whilst I was on placement, which was more than enough to get by.
There are always lots of activities to get involved with outside of work. Ranging from sports to social activities, you just need to actively go out and get involved.
Yes
PwC are a fantastic firm with lots of experience in the business world and I could not think of a better firm to be trained by.
I would advise others applying to make sure they do their research before applying for any role or any apprenticeship and make sure they know what they want. Bring with the application, enthusiasm and a desire to work hard for what they want.
