Helping to run the store through either putting out stock or running a till.
Communication and people skills e.g. talking to them and helping them
I enjoy it however the tills are very stressful and exhausting for me. On the whole I enjoy all the shopfloor work

Well organised however not as varied as I thought it would be e.g. I thought I would be working each area more or less equally but 70% of the time I’ve spent on tills

It’s okay for me now but I couldn’t leave home on my current wage
Due to working weekends and bank holidays I’ve lost a lot of my free time to see friends and family or get as much done

It’s a full on job with great opportunities if u can cope with the work
Make sure you know how stressful and fast paced it is Be prepared for the extra stress if you are under 18
