  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme greatly. I work with amazing people that are very helpful. I'm treated the same as everyone else and I've even been Lead Developer on two projects because of the progress I've made in a short amount of time. I'm recognised for my work and interactions regularly of which I've received many awards for my work. I had different expectations when I started but that quickly changed for the better and overall its been an amazing experience for me.

  • I feel very valued by Capgemini. I get a lot of appreciation and recognition from different managers and colleagues. • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure laid out by Capgemini is straight forward however, The actual apprenticeship and training/programme structure is controlled by the apprenticeship provider, Arch. I am currently on a new apprenticeship programme structure that hasn't been fully developed so things are constantly changing including requirements to actually pass the apprenticeship. Important dates have been delayed and even given in short notice which isn't due to Capgemini's fault but rather Arch Apprenticeships. Overall I haven't been pleased with how Arch apprenticeships has handled things and Capgemini do their best to support.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We have a dedicated AA (apprenticeship advisor) that we can get in regular contact with. Any support we need the AA tries to provide. During training weeks that were done just before a test to get a certificate, the tutor provided was very good and in many aspects just read from a booklet we were given and didn't provide much value or learning.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I started at £10,000 a year which after 10 weeks when up to £16,000 a year. I've received pay increases and bonuses just like everyone else and I am now on roughly £20,000 a year. My salary is adequate for my current living requirements and allows me to enjoy social aspects in work and out of work.

  • Capgemini provide many opportunities outside and during work to attending company events and activities, holiday events, volunteer events that include apprenticeship mentoring to a younger audience, the list goes on. • 9. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Capgemini is an amazing company to work for. The immense amount of support received and being treated like a full employee instead of an apprentice is great because every puts you on the same level. You get all the benefits of being a full employee like pay increases, full holiday and other beneficial packages and you have the opportunity to earn certificates and qualifications that tend to be paid for by Capgemini that otherwise would set you back a lot. The work I do is great and very satisfying and I always get recognised for my work.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Be honest at all times. Especially during interviews. Don't inflate your current skills and abilities because it won't help you in the long run. I was honest when I went for my interview where I didn't have much to show but I was honest and eager, and Capgemini gave me the opportunity to prove myself and I believe I have. They give you plenty of opportunities to learn and take part and the on boarding process is very welcoming.
