My role is to stock shelves, serve customers and provide good customer service.
I have enhanced my communication skills through constant communication between myself and customers. I have been till trained which is a skill that I know use on a daily basis at work. It has also helped me to develop my leadership skills as sometimes I have to give commands and delegate tasks.
I enjoy the programme sometimes.
I feel very valued by Aldi. My managers are always looking to offer advice and help to me. They can also see the potential and look to push me as far as I can to get the best out of me. I’m respected by the other members of staff as we all have equal levels of respect for each other. All managers always show interest in ho my apprenticeship is going and how I’m progressing. Overall I feel very valued by Aldi.
My programme has a well organised structure. With each year being progressively harder and more challenging. My Assessor and I have regular meetings to catch up and assess the work I have put forward.
I receive lots of support from my trainer.
My employer does support me.
My pay is fairly low. I don’t think it meets my costs as I do the same job as the other store assistants however get payed £3 less.
Not many, I have been out of work once to go to head office in Chelmsford.
