As part of my role I am currently working as a PSP. This entails looking at manufacutirng Processes, speed up activities, analysis of areas and areas of improvement.
I have learnt and developed a lot of skills from the apprencticeship such as improved confidence, presenting skills, engineering knowledge, practical skills, writing skills, networking, lots of training courses and lots more.
I have enjoyed my programme throughout, from start to finish, I am always learning every day and furthering my knowledge of different areas.
I feel valued and appreciated by BMW in my day to day ativtiies for BMW Group.
The programme is very organised and structured. It was made clear from the start exactly what I would be completing throughout the apprenticeship with a breakdown of each year. The structure helped me to complete all the different aspects to the apprenticeship in sufficient time and to a good standard.
I have recieved a lot of support from my training provider, she is always available if I am ever unsure to need some help or guidance throughout the whole apprenticeship. Very outgoing and always helpful.
I have also recieved a lot of support from my employer, she is always available if I am ever unsure to need some help or guidance throughout the whole apprenticeship. If I ever had a problem she was always avilable to provide help and assistance.
I think that my salary has been very good throughout the whole of my apprenticeship.
As a BMW Group apprentice there are lots of oppportunites to go to careers events, charity events and work related events. I have participated in the BMW Mountain challenge twice where as part of a team from work you complete an outdoor activities event in areas such as the Brecon Beacons or the Lake District.

BMW Group Apprenticeships are excellent, they offer you a very attractive education where there is the option to get a very high level of education providing you apply yourself. The company is a very reputable brand with lots of very knowledgable people to learn off of. A very good salary and company perks such as discounts at different retailers, company car and lots more.
I would say it is important to have a keen interest in Engineering and esnure to be thorough and detailed in the application process. Take your time to ensure that the application is well written and accurate. Be confident in the interview process and ensure that you are well prepared. Always be honest when answering any questions and ensure to come across enthusiatic, knowledgable and polite. Also if you are unsure on anything about the apprenticeship make sure to ask at the assessment day centres so that you are prepared for anything if you are successful.
