Toolmaker. I maintain the press tools at BMW Plant Swindon. This involves repairing and modifiying the tools so that they produce the correct panels.
During the apprenticeship i have learn how to work with metal and this was a completely new experience as i had only done wood work before. i learnt different skills like hand fitting, turning and milling. i have also developed my confidence.
i think that it is very enjoyable as you learn new skills and make lots of new friends throughout it
i think that i am valued becuase we are the next generation of workers so everyone is willing to help you
these is a good layout and structure to the program. knowing what qualifications i will be doing and when.
there is a good relationship between her and the apprentices, and she provides all of the support needed and checks about it regularly
the company are willing to give you all the support you need and are willing to proived the courses that you want if you show that you are keen.
the salary is very good for an apprentice
there are opertunities to do charity events and to attend careers events to proive information to stundents about our apprenticeship.

because i have learnt loads of new skills and have made good friends. during all of this i have been being paid as well.
When applying i would mention about any engineering hobbies that you have as this is exactly what bmw want to see from aplicants
