since joining the apprenticeship i have gained many new skills including welding and machining as well as more academic skill such as the hnc engineering course.
i enjoy working as part of the apprentice team and have enjoyed learning new skills
i feel that the support from bmw has been suitable and we regularly have meetings discussing progress
i feel that there could be more structure within the nvq program, however the training courses provided has been good
i regularly have reviews with my training provider to discuss new targets and goals
support is provided by the employer and regular meetings/ placement reviews are held to talk about progress within the nvq and within placements
as an older apprentice i took a pay cut when joining the apprenticship however i quickly achieved a higher pay grade and have managed to meet my costs
there are a number of oppertunities outside of work avalable such as the mountain challenge and access to outside events sponsered by bmw

i would recoment it to a friend as it is a good career opertunity and there is good training avalable
be enthusiastic and it helps if you enjoy working with your hands.
