At Aldi it’s a very fast pace environment- but that’s not always bad as it makes your day go very fast! No day is the same and there’s always something to do. As part of the apprenticeship in year 2-3 you follow the role of a Deputy Manager which is a great opportunity and you get the training you need in order to boost your skills and advance your career! There’s a lot of responsibility and it’s a tiring role, but if that’s what you like then I’d recommend it to you!
I have got my qualifications and as well as this, learnt so many skills and how to perform great management. I now feel confident and skilled enough to progress on
I enjoy the programme it’s a great experience. It has been very tough and challenging at times but I’ve got through it and feel proud to have completed 3 years with the business. I enjoy each day begins different and there always been a challenge
I feel valued at times and do get recognised of, but sometimes with it being so busy, this slips. You’re expected to be and perform the same as a normal qualified manager and sometimes this isn’t possible with not having the full experience. You are valued but sometimes not as much as I’d like.
It is well organised and you get your qualifications which is good. The actual training in store is a little slower and you have to prove that you want to progress in order to get the full training
Not as much as liked. The company that runs it visit once every month/ two months. They are only a phone call away but it’s not the same
I think it depends on what store you work at and who your manager is.
I am very happy with my salary and it has allowed me to purchase the luxury’s that I didn’t think I’d be able to afford at this age
Yes there are ALDI benefits to sign onto
Yes
If you want a challenge and a chance of a career it’s for you!
Be enthusiastic and ask questions! Always try to get involved and show them who you are!
