I am an account manager, who deals with providing IT infrastructure to Local Councils. Focusing on maintaining trust based relationships, helping my clients over come challenges with the investment in IT.
Many new skills relating to interacting with people, along with lot's of technical and business knowledge I wouldn't have had if I didn't do this apprenticeship.
I loved the whole thing
We get a lot of appreciation and time put into us, which has helped me shine in my role now. Softcat see Apprentices as the future, so feel investing time and resource into them is an investment into the future of the company.
Lot's of support, never felt drowned.
Softcat are nothing but helpful, no questions too stupid or small.
Salary was very good as an apprentice.
A lot of my friends now, I met through Softcat. I actually live with two people from Softcat. They constantly run events and activities for the wider team. I am off to Dublin for the weekend with the team in a few weeks.
