I make sure the business can function as it should. This is a widely varied role and every day is so different I couldn't really say. It makes me happy that it is constantly changing though. I have a lot of responsibilities and I interact with hundreds of people every day. This is such a great feature of the role.
Yes, it would be almost impossible to list them all but I have learned more in 6 months here than I learned in any job I have ever had no matter how long that employment. The fact I am constantly learning new skills and growing my knowledge is so important to me.
Best job I have ever had. I am so happy with everything Softcat do. My only complaint would be the admin on arch's side but Softcat work hard to make sure any issue I encounter is swiftly dealt with. I feel so valued by my team that I plan to stay at softcat for as long as I can and prove to them they're training has taught me so much.
My team make a point of letting me know that I am doing great work and complimenting my work ethic. This makes me feel so happy to attend work. I don't understand why it took me so long to come and work here, if I had known how good it was I would have come to work here at 18 instead of doing anything else.
This is on Arch's side as opposed to Softcat. The five stars is solely because of Arch, Softcat on the other hand make sure that any problem I encounter is dealt with but the amount of hoops needed to even get in contact with anyone at arch makes it hard so give a higher rating. 10 stars for softcat but 1 for arch.
Not a good amount at all, I honestly have no clue how they have such good ratings online. I can only assume that Arch have had employees rate the company online because I cannot be the only one experiencing such a poor level of service from them. I feel pretty expendable to Arch.
Really great in this area. Softcat make sure that everything they can do to help is done, they pull out all the stops to make sure I am happy and this investment in staff makes me wish to invest my time into the company. I feel like everything I do means something and that's all I have ever really wanted in life.
Travel costs are all covered by Softcat. My personal living costs are quite reasonable when compared to my salary. However much I aim to earn a lot of money in my life for the moment I am extremely happy with my pay while on training. I feel how an employer pays their staff is a true show of how much they care about you and for this reason I am happy as of right now.
There is so much stuff going on outside of work with this company that I have to turn things down each week. I have never had anything like this in my life and long may it continue! It's truly a great place to work if you are young and I love it.
Yes
It is such a pleasant place to work that I feel like I would happily recommend here to someone. The problem is I would only want to bring in friends that would represent myself and the company well which I think really shows how much I respect the company and my team.
Work hard and you'll do well. There are so many opportunities here that if you put yourself out there you will reap the rewards. I have never been able to say that before and it is the most refreshing change, I genuinely smile when I am at work and I believe that anyone would be lucky to work here.
