For the first two weeks we were in the top floor of the EY building and we had challenges and education slides on the EY Departments. we were set into different groups and had Dragons Den and other style presentation for us to get a deeper understanding into accountancy. As well as this we started our coursework to get Business Management level 2 qualification and worked on this pretty much everyday.
I learnt to be a lot more confident in my self and have more self belief in what I can do. Also, I could work more well as a team member and enhanced my team leading skills too. The experiences I had with managers and executives made me learn how to be professional and network with anyone and everyone.
I really enjoyed my programme, the staff were amazing and very helpful. The wage was very handsome and EY looked after us very well.
I receive a lot of E-mails from EY and I have been invited to events which made me feel very engaged in my opinions.
The programme was very well structured however, we thought we would have a greater choice of the departments we could go to. For example, I wanted to go to the Home Office.
When we did our coursework we could continuously get help and we had tutors from the EY company which emailed us and made sure we were doing alright through the course of this year.
refer to 6A.
My travel was paid for as well as our lunch which was really good as it meant we didn't have to worry about the costs, instead we could concentrate on doing the best we could in our line of work.
I regularly receive emails from EY on Events and company activities. For example I attended a few Breakfast events where we networked and showed what our work experience was like.
Yes
It grows the individual as a person and it has made me a better member of society as I am more aware of the world of work.
Be confident in your Interviews and show enthusiasm over the phone. Don't be shy or worried as everyone is in the same boat as you are and it is much better if everyone gets to know each other.
