A normal day would involve me working he produce, helping with the ambient, helping finish the paperwork, having a till and then just keeping the shop looking good by decarding aisles and tidying the warehouse.
Yes
It’s good but you do mostly the same work as other people with no time allocated for any coursework. Therefore, you have to do the coursework in your own time which is a bit annoying.
Not very at the moment to be honest. It used to be a lot better back when i first started my apprenticeship but now they expect so much more of you with less time to do it.
I went without having contact from any trainer for roughly about a year. I had asked my area manager multiple times to sort this but he didn’t meaning I had to try and sort it myself. Now meaning I’ve had to cram a lot of coursework into a smaller space of time than it needed to be. My new trainer is much better though so that helps.
Not very much as I stated above they basically forgot about me for a year which is quite ridiculous. It is starting to get better now though but I still will have only actually met my new trainer twice by the time I finish my apprenticeship.
At work I get far more support than through my training provider. They have all been great with me from start to finish and no question is ever to stupid so I’m thankful for that.
The salary is as good as you’re going to get for an apprenticeship scheme so I can’t really complain about that.
No, not really.
Yes
It’s a good place to work if you can work hard enough. It pays well and the staff are all friendly enough too.
Work hard and just get on with it.
