my role is a team leader in a coop food branch. I am on a retail management course. On a day to day basis I do my normal role plus shadow my manager to learn where I can and go to monthly conferences.
yes, i have learnt more about office work and behind the scenes of the coop. Not jus in-store things.
this programme is quite intense at times, but I enjoy learning new things.
i feel I could have a little more support, but I'm doing well and have a good team.
sometimes it can be hard to get in touch with my tutor from HArt learning and the online e-learnings can be temperamental which is annoying.
she sends WhatsApp messages a few times a week to see how we are going on.
my manager helps me where he can, not really heard much from anyone else in the coop.
still on the same salary as before I started. so a normal Team leader wage.
theres confrences we attend outside of work, but can't think of any opportunities to be had.
Yes
i have been working for the coop for nearly 10 years and love my team and enjoy my work.
It's a fast paced environment so be prepared to be a worker. And be a team player.
