Assistant Manager within Private Markets, Audit. I work, as part of a team, to provide audits to clients. Teams vary greatly depending on the client and involves large periods of time out of the office, out at businesses.
I have gained huge amounts of skills and experiences throughout my time, largely managing teams, working efficiently, public speaking and discussing complex issues with high level managements.I have also been working towards my ACCA qualification as well as a degree as part of the ACCA Oxford Brookes
The work is incredibly varied and you are able to build your own portfolio, or push to work on clients that appeal to you. Whilst I feel the job can be monotonous from time to time, the experience and qulaifications gained are certainly worth it.
Within internal teams and the office as a whole i do feel very valued, everyone knows your name and tries hard to interact irrelevant of their position/seniority. For the wider Deloitte, I do feel that the feeling of being valued is of less concern to those in far higher levels of seniority. There is a lack of care re. how more junior staff are treated when creating firm wide policies, this is certainly in the case of pay, which has been stagnant for many years and in fact declined for some junior pay grades last year depsite the most successful year for profits per partner ever recorded.
The programme is structured incredibly well. You are given plenty of time to study for exams, college is paid for you and whilst you are thrown in at the deep end, there is a very strong network of peopel willing to help.
We receive an awful amount. College for studying for our exams are paid for during work time. Everyone is also very willing to help and offer a hand.
Above.
My salary is incredibly generous for my age as well as my costs and is a huge incentive to work for a company like this.
Yes, there are committees for pretty much everything!
Yes
Due to all of the reasons mentioned above
