Throughout this week, I was a Business Analyst; A Business Analyst has a role to collect information, in detail, and put it forward towards a project. You could ultimately say that it works under the Project Manager and “does all the work”.
I have learnt a lot while working at M&G; M&G have given me a depth understanding of the world of work! In my opinion, I've learnt how to be professional in an office, improved my communication skills, improved my intellectual skills and to work effectively while having fun.
I agree to an immense extent that I have enjoyed this programme. It has given me a better insight of how to work in the World of Work and shown me what is expected while in this environment.
I feel extremely valued considering that everyone was friendly and treated me as if I actually worked here. I've had the opportunity to conduct interviews, meetings etc. Historically, I've had been treated extremely well and I would encourage anyone to apply and work here.
I feel my programme was very well structured. I had a lot of support both from the Long Term Talent Team and the colleagues that I work with. I was given a system login and emails all around about how to work in M&G. Therefore, this should support my point as to why my programme was well structured.
I've learnt a vast amount of duties while working with my training provider. This includes working on project plans (excel), creating presentations and hosting meetings. I feel it has boosted my confidence in conducting these duties - despite already knowing how to use excel.
I feel I received a large amount of support from my training provider (Long term talent team)I've learnt a lot including how to conduct a presentation, how to host a meeting, how to write up a CV and look into the future to see what I intend to do in life. Therefore, that should support the idea of how much support I received from my training provider.
M&G has opted in to pay for my lunch and travel hence why it has met my costs. Therefore, I don't need to worry too much about getting to and from M&G.
There was one opportunity outside of work; on Thursday, we went on a walk through the city (Bank) and discovering the history of what happened within the City of London. I feel that it was very informative and I learnt a load of new roads and why some of them were actually named - mainly because the things that happened on that road. This is quite evident that I learnt while having fun hence why there were many opportunities outside of work.
Yes
I would recommend M&G to a friend because they are a lovely environment. You are treated like an employee here and have a valued amount of respect. Therefore, it pushes and suggests why I would recommend M&G to a friend.
If you're applying for M&G, ensure you are a communicative person who has confidence, determined to complete an action and not procrastinate. You don't need a degree to work here - just be knowledgeable, do your research and have fun while working.
