My role was in the legal department team I worked closely with people in the team and had my own mentor who managed everything I did. During my time here at M&G I attended meetings with my manager , Did projects similar to real case scenarios and interviewed important people in the team to get their perspective of working here. I even go the opportunity to work with the photography team!
Yes I have more knowledge on politics, Like brexit. I have learnt stuff to do with industry I thought I would never need or want to know but I found really intesting. For example asset management, Passporting,Paying agents and their role and how a contract work.
So much! Much more than I originally thought. I have met new friends new people. Everyone loves to have a chat. The office is really nice and having my own desk by the window was unexpected. I have been treated so well and I really have taken from and enjoyed my whole week on the team!
I feel really valued my manager really pushes me to improve upon my work but in a constructive way in which I can learn from, I get appraisal for my work and I'm treated as an equal here, Which is very different to the way I first thought I would have been treated here.
Very organised I'm presented with a different task everyday then I move onto the next. I have a online calendar that has slots for meetings, interviews etc. Everything I do has been organised and laid out so I understand and can over come it.
I do receive a lot of guidance here on things like my work, the good and maybe the things that I can improve on. I have been taught of how this industry works. If I'm ever stuck on work my manager is very able and willing to help me if there's a fault. Overall I receive a lot of support from my Manager!

I don't get paid for the experience but compensation for travel was provided. But to get here it only costs me a small amount so compensation won't be necessary but I like the fact its there fore people how may be finding it hard to pay for travel here and that I have that there for me.
My school provides me with a lot of opportunities to go to events and around London. But I still don't fell I am getting as much as I would like. This is my first time at work experience and I think I'm going to make sure I earn a place to get these sort of opportunities my self rather than relying on the school to get them for me.
Yes
It was a great first work placement, everyone made me feel so welcome and the people that work here are just genuinely nice people. I was always helped with work asked if I understood. Overall it was a really great experience.
I would advice them to do their research, it will really help in the long run as will be questioned on why you came here and what you know. It also really helps with work if you know it before you're here you'll find it much more quicker to complete and finish tasks with ease.
