I was working in Group Ops where the team made me feel very welcome. I shadowed the employees and took notes on their day to day interactions. I also attended various meetings and was challenged on my understanding, making me feel as part of the team.
I have learnt many new skills during my time here including critical thinking skills, time management, Communication skills and CV writing skills.
I wholeheartedly enjoyed my experience here as it was abundantly clear that the employees around me strived to make me feel accommodated at M&G.
M&G made me feel more than a guest of the company. they worked to make me feel as part of the group as possible.
The programme had a focus on giving the work experience students a detailed and honest view on the workload of the employees. The Programme was clear and concise, with a well structured timetable.
I received excellent support. They went out of their way to provide me with resources that will be useful even after the week long experience.
There was plenty of support from my employer that there was not a moment where I was off-task or not engaged
M&G covered all possible costs that went into the experience. This included a above-reasonable lunch allowance and travel costs.
There were not many opportunities out of work given
Yes
M&G strived to accommodate their work experience students
Do NOT be shy to ask questions, or do NOT feel like you are in the wrong for not asking any. Listening is a valuable skill and questioning shows engagement.
