Work experience for one week. Involves helping with tasks in the service line you choose (I chose tax), attending meetings and calls, and other assessments to help you gain an understanding of the industry.
At the start of the week I set myself 5 goals of: Talking to people from different service lines, getting a range of different tasks within tax, learning about AI for a presentation at the end of the week, to attend meetings and calls, and to develop skills in Microsoft office. I successfully completes these tasks and have developed skills in Microsoft office, presenting, and work done within a tax team at EY.
I enjoyed it very much. Everyone you meet is very pleasant and welcoming, and the work you are set is challenging but also a good insight into EY.
Everyone in the office values the school leavers highly, and since most on this programme are looking to do that they make sure you understand the kind of working environment you are going into by supporting you and asking your opinions throughout the week.
The programme is well organised and structured. The first day is very useful in getting to know everyone and the presentation task allows you to work in a team consistently throughout the week, giving a nice conclusion to the week. The rest of the week is structured around you and is organised as you go through and accept tasks or meetings.
We meet with a councellor everyday and they are around throughout the day to answer questions to give you support in your tasks.
Same as last question. We meet with a councellor everyday and they are around throughout the day to answer questions to give you support in your tasks.
