as a business academy apprentice I was assisting auditors in there day to day tasks for clients. I wrote letters to clients, checked financial statements and worked on planning for clients.
during the week i was provided with four virtual learning vidoes to help develop my soft skills. i also developed my understanding of EY and proffessionals service firms in what they do. i have expanded my termonology massively learning so many new things.
i have found the programmme enjoyable. i always had something to do and was very interesting expiriencing life at EY. of course at times the work was hard but that was expected
EY made me feel valued and trusted throughout the week. from the start i was working on real tasks for real clients and trusted to carry them out.
the programme is very well organised i always knew what i was doing and was never left wondering or confused
my training providers were always happy to help with whatever i asked. they was always near me to answer questions and always available to message
my employer supported me thoroughly throughout. i was constantly given guidance and they went out of their way to ensure i fulfilled my goals for the week. they was especially helpful in allowing me to speak with many people about my future and what help they could provide
my cost of travel and food is completely covered by my salary and left me with money spare. the salary is much more than i expected and i was very pkeased with it
ouside of work i have been told about many social events. there are parties and nights out within teams and in the company as a whole. these are things i would love to get involved in
Yes
it massively helped me to make decisions regardingh my future and showed me what life in the working world is like. my perceptions have changed and without this i would not be able to make the best decisions for me
dont stress as much about the interveiw proccess it is designed to show you off. ask lots of people lots of questions and try to build as many relationships as possible with your peers or seniors because they all guide you to make better decisions and can all help you with work
