Several different mandatory meetings as part of the programme, in addition to small and simple tasks being set by employees. On one day, I had the oppuruntiy to go to a client meeting, which allowed me to experience another side of the job which you otherwise wouldn't be able to do. Other than that, I was allocated a company to create a presentation on, with a company overview, particularly from a tax perspective.
Several different e-learning sessions but didn't necessarily provide completely new information. These were half an hour in length each and were based upon becoming more employable. For example, how to write in a business style. However, it has been good to receive valuable insight into the career and the industry - something which most people on the programme would not have had exposure to previously.
Enjoyable to work alongside like-mined individuals, great hours and a minimal amount of work. I was able to learn more about a particularly industry, which will hold great value upon applying to firms later in life and making decisions as to where I want to be in the working world. Moreover, it has been great to work as part of a team who support you.
Received a very friendly welcome from the team I was working with; lots of employees would ask questions about myself and the programme. The work that was completed was well received and feedback was given. Moreover, by EY giving a salary to Business Academy attendees, one feels more on par with the typical intern or graduate who would have also had little exposure to the working world and can add little value.
At the beginning of the Business Academy programme, we were given a detailed calander for our week on our emails- everything stuck to this and was timely. Moreover, there was oppurtuntiy for myself to join a different team for the day to get a greater understanding of their work. This was done by the EY team asking for my particular interests, and thus matched me up accordingly and where possible.
Always have the oppurtuntiy to ask questions and find out more about the job/client/task. Feedback can be given if you request. You will become a part of the team and they will treat you accordingly. People will be briefed upon your arrival and will therefore support you with your ventures at the firm - even so for the most senior of emplpoyees.

As a work experience programme, you would not expect any payment. However, the salary easily covers travel and lunch on days where it is not provided. Moreover, you will have a relative amount to keep after the programme. Personally, I only needed to provide lunch for myself on two out of the five days. There are many places based just outside of the office to obtain food/drink at any point in the day.
Due to only being at the firm for a week, it is difficult to say, but employees told tales of them venturing out of the office which shows hope!

EY is a global company with a fantastic reputation. The work is of a high standard and reaches a wide range of cliental. There is a suitable role for everyone and there is a community sense around the firm.
Ensure that at every stage of the application, you put 100% effort in. The process invovled an online application, followed by online tests and then a telephone interview. EY hire for the programme on a rolling basis, so it is better to apply sooner rathe than later. It is most certainly a worthwhile programme to attend, so it will be worth the extra time invested into making a solid application- good luck!
