As part of the EY business academy, we worked both individually and as part of a team on a daily basis to complete audit tasks and work with others to prepare and check audits.
Over the week I have developed both my numerical and IT skills. Being left to work independently, required me to adapt to situations and look to develop my skills by not relying on others to help me with everything.
I thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Everyone in the office was incredibly welcoming and always happy to help, even if they weren't working with you. The company culture was excellent and it was a very pleasant place to work for the week!
I feel valued by EY. They were always happy to help and everyone within the office was welcoming and friendly.
The programme I worked on was very well structured. It allowed us time to complete online learning sessions and also provided us with an opportunity to observe people and work independently.
I received a lot of support from the training provider. They were always happy to help with any queries and they provided assistance when it was necessary.
I received some support from my employer. In such a big company it was difficult to work one to one, however even though everyone was busy, the employees were always happy to help and assist.
Fine.
There are a large number of company events and EY has a very strong corporate culture, which made it easy to fit in and help others. When we weren't working we completed online and virtual learning sessions to boost our knowledge.
Yes
It was a very welcoming and insightful experience which opened up new ideas to career paths for me.
Prepare in advance for your interviews. Don't panic Everyone is happy to help you It requires a lot of independent working and ability to think for yourself. You need to be able to follow instructions and take note of what people around you are saying.
