I had completed a CMI qualification and had a week where I did work experience with the financial crimes sector. I was with the risk management team and was given a task of conducting a mock risk assessment. I had met many members from the team from senior management to grad scheme students. Everyone was really friendly and made me feel as if I was part of the team and not just some college student who was with them for a short time period. At the end I had to present a presentation on the risk assessment I carried out during the week to my team and they gave me positive feedback and constructive criticism. The experience was great.
I gained a CMI qualification. I was trained in being a team leader. I had developed on my team working, communication, networking and presentation skills.
I really enjoyed my programme, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I met many people who can help me in the future. I had expanded my network and had met people who have the job I want which was very beneficial for me as the provided me with more knowledge in that field.
EY value their staff a lot. They ensure that you are being treated well by all members of staff and that no bad practise is carried out.
There was a clear structure for this programme. I knew what I would be doing each day and everything was well organised.
I have been provided with a mentor. Someone from the sector I was working in helped me on a day to day basis.
I received a lot of support from my employer. they were constantly checking up on me to ensue I was doing well and I understood What my task was.
My salary is very good. it covers all my costs.
There are many events that we could attend even after we leave the internship/work experience.
