My role as a EY foundation student was to learn and get a vibe of how the world of work is like. I was doing tasks such as presentations for certain activities for the first 2 weeks and then for the last week, it was the business week in which I worked in strategic consulting which required a lot of research. It was very good and I really enjoyed this experience.
I feel like I have developed further on skills such as communication and business writing skills. This is because everyday for the first 2 weeks, we had presentations and talks on how we can improve our skills and which skills we may require. At the end of the programme, I will have hopefully achieve a CMI qualification.
To a very strong extent, i have enjoyed this programme and everyone and this company was very welcoming and friendly and supportive!
I feel very welcomed by EY and they have given a lot of support over the past 3 weeks.
The programme is very well structure and organised. The induction day made it very clear on what we was expected to do over the past 3 weeks and we have been aranged a mentor that we will see over the past 10 months which is fantastic!
I have received a lot of support from Victoria and Meera who were the staff working with EY foundation. They have been very great and all the staff at EY were friendly and supportive.
I received so much support from my manager! If i was stuck on what to do or was not sure on what to do, they would help me by confirming with me the task. But also, they have been very friendly.
The salary does meet my costs, even though i had to pay for food for the last week and for transportation fees, it was a good pay.
I feel as if there is not too many opportunities outside work so this has been a great opportunity in which i feel very lucky.
Yes
EY has been a great experience which has taught me many skills and developed on more. It also gives you time to socialise and network with other people who you have not met before which is very fun and exciting.
Tips i would give is to be honest and to be very open minded. I didnt know that i would be accepted to this programmed but surprisingly i was.
