We had to make sure we completed our learning logs on time after we did each activity. We had to take notes on presentations being presented to us. Sometimes we were given activities to complete and then present back to the group.
I have developed my confidence skills through networking with new people as well as doing multiple presentation skills. I am now a more confident speaker when presenting in front of an audience. We worked towards a level 2 in Team leadership CMI.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the company as everyone was really friendly and I have no problem when it came to asking for help. I enjoyed it as I found I made new friends more than a summer camp that I did last year. I now have a better insight of what it is like to work in an office compared to before. I really enjoyed doing ice breaker challenges such as the marshmallow and spaghetti stick challenge as that forced me to come out of my shell.
I was treated like an adult for example if I needed to go to the toilet I did not need to ask to go. I felt like all my opinions were listened to as well as there were no "stupid" questions that I asked. There was a lot of verbal praise which I enjoyed.
The program has a clear structure. Two weeks at EY and then one week at another business. The transitions between different presentation speakers were clear. There was a balance of working and fun activities that challenged my abilities.
A lot since they have given us mentors for ten months which will help us with anything such as personal statements. By having mentors this is a great opportunity since it will help develop our personal journey
They answer any questions I ask with detail. Which means I am not afraid to ask again for help if I did not understand the question the first time. They will come round and make sure I am doing okay and that I am not stuck and that I understand the task clearly.
I get paid the same amount in my current retail job and I was expecting a bit more from a prestigious company however they did provide us with lunch
They have a school leavers program and a graduates program avalible
Yes
Because I found the program really enjoyable and a valuable experience
I would say to apply early as the application process takes long. When it comes to the telephone interview to stay calm and to practise at home. As well as that to make sure to research the company EY
