My role is a Smart Futures Intern where during my business experience I had to do tasks that were set by my manager/host. I interact with clients and people in the team I was working with which was Actuarial.
I have developed my pitching and presenting skills wich goes hand in hand with growing my confidence. I have learnt to be more positive minded and open when I come to new things.
I enjoyed the program lots as I made new friends and enjoyed coming in every day. The company and staff were all friendly and willing to help me which was reassuring.
During business experience I felt valued when I was given important tasks to complete because that was my duty and responsibilty to complete. I would get praise when I finish a task which was nice to have.
For the most part, it was organised but sometimes during business experience I would run out of tasks to do.
I got lots of support and help from my training provider but in general all the EY staff - they were all helpful to me when I was stuck etc.
Again, I recieve a lot of help when I need it from my employer.
I think it will cover it well.
From EY there is not many opportunities that I have been told of - I know meeting uo with mentors is available but I am not sure of any others.
Yes
Because, EY was a very professional workspace that embraces and takes in all types of people of all ages. It was a very friendly environment too.
I think to be prepared to fill out lots of paperwork and to be part of a phone interview too.
