Overall, you shadow a PwC employee and see what they do on a day-to-day basis. Your experience largely depends on what they do. On my first two days, I shadowed an auditor and ended up going offsite to a client which was quite cool. At times, I felt that I didn't have much to do as I did not have access to all the software they use but it was a good experience nonetheless. On one day, I was shadowing a team of actuaries with 2 other work experience students - this was absolutely amazing as they catered the day towards us instead of us just shadowing them
I have learnt more about what it takes to work at PwC, with a particular emphasis on teamworking, communication and organisation.
I enjoyed the programme very much. Perhaps my first two days shadowing an auditor was not too great but the other day was absolutely amazing.
I feel extremely valued by PwC. The student recruitment team gave up all their time to host us and the employeed we were shadowing allowed us to ask loads of questions. I did not expect to get paid but this really does make me feel hugely valued by PwC. We were even trusted to bring laptops home with us!
Extremely well structured. We had a dedicated induction day where we were taught what we would be doing. Everything was well organised
Lots of support - everyone was open and I could ask as many questions as I wanted
Lots - everyone was extremely willing to help.
More than enough. I probably incurred the highest costs with regard to travelling (around £50) for the week but was rumunerated with around £300. I was able to claim back expenses I had incurred to travel to client sites too.
Yes! A friend working at the London office on the same Business Insight Week took part in the PwC sports day!
