In the mornings we would get together and have meetings with the person that we'd be shadowing. We'd be set tasks on your individual computers to be completed which we would need to do before a set deadline. There was a lot of interactions daily with staff and we were also allowed into training and conferences.
One major skill that I believe that I have got out of the two weeks was self-confidence. You really need to be able to talk to staff and be able to converse adequately by yourself since your team or othr colleagues won't always be there.
It was quite enjoyable since it was fun and definitely met my expectations. We were able to talk to and have lunch with other people in the work experience as well which made it interactive too.
The meetings with the person that we were shadowing was quite brief. The first week was spent doing pretty much nothing though.
It was quite structured. We were able to go against the programme's diary a tad bit in order to put in our own projects and meetings with staff too which was great.
