Aircraft apprentice I currently work alongside other aircraft technicians to build my skills and abilities.
I will leave the apprenticeship with a foundation degree and a lvl 3 city and guilds award.
great everyone is so welcoming and helpful they are always their when I need them. when I arrived at my current site I was made welcome and actively get involved with tasks during the day.
I feel like an integral part of the company with weekly updates on how I am doing and what I can improve upon. I also enjoy the monthly updates on how the air sector is doing as a whole.
Very well organised I get all the information I need for visits well in advance of the start date. I am well supported by the welfare staff and other instructors they are there to help me through rough times and keep me on track with my work and exams.
Loads Resource group and BAE Systems instructors are amazing and really knowledgeable. I don't think I've asked a question with one of the instructors knowing the answer. I also enjoy the fact that they can make a complex system or topic relatively easy to understand.
BAE Systems offers a lot of support from welfare to qualified instructors all of which are happy to explain any troubles I have with my work, social life and family life. Being with BAE Systems is great I get the emotional and work support required to keep me going when living away from my family.
My salary covers my monthly costs extremely well I love the fact I am paid to learn about a subject I love. I have also benefitted from the free accommodation provided to me by the company it is of great help as I don't live local to the academy.
We are always actively looking for things to do as a group outside of work. recently we have had pop quizzes and other games nights to help the academy bond and unite as one.
Yes
Its an ever growing and developing company that helps its employees achieve everything they can. they are helping me achieve my dream of working on aircraft.
Study up on the company and know the area you want to work in like what aircraft do BAE support.
