My role is to support the senior scientists in the lab and make the team more productive by helping with projects. My job on a day to day basis changes all the time as there are different types of projects to get involved in all the time.
I have been enrolled of lots of internal and external courses to advance my skills and learn new ones. Also I have been trained on different types of machines in the labs i have worked in. I am also gaining a new qualification in applied science which is a level 3 btec.
I enjoy my programme very much because I enjoy my work and have a friendly team who are always there for support and help.
I feel valued because my team are always saying how well im doing and that the team has become more productive since i have joined.
I think it is fairly well structured but as we are the first set of apprentices they have had for a long time the structure wont be as strong straight away as everyone is still working on how to deal with apprentices.
As much support as we ask for, they are always happy to help and I always feel comfortable asking for it.

Its ok i tend to have enough money for each month, but I wont not be able to live on it if I did not live with my parents.
Yeah there is quite a lot of outreach work you can get involved in and there are sports events which also take place.
