I am currently working in sales support where I work with my team and people around Europe to make our sales team the best they can be.
I have been on a number of workshops since starting at Visa which teach me things about the business as well as about Sales. We've had lots of training which was useful for us to understand what Visa do. I have become more confident when meeting new people and talking to people I do not know on the phone.
I really enjoy my programme. In our year, there was 11 new starters and there is also many apprentices older than us that we have got to meet in social events. Every single person I have met is lovely and willing to help with anything.
I feel valued by Visa as I am part of the next generation and I feel getting involved as much as I have, including projects outside of my work, has made me feel more valued as I am helping the community inside and outside of work.
We had a lot of training when we first started which was extremely helpful as we got to learn about how Visa works. We also gt to met lots of people from different areas of the company. As well as this, we have buddies for new apprentices and there is also a mentoring system throughout the company.
From our training provider, we have been given support and are able to email or book meetings if we have any worries or questions
Everyone in the company is lovely and willing to answer any questions we may have, no matter how small or silly we may think they are. There is support from line managers, QA, HR, buddies.
Our salary is a great starting salary. Most of our cohort still live at home so we only have to pay for travel costs but there is an apprenticeship oyster card which gives you 30% off travel cards which is useful.
Yes, we have 4 ERG's within Visa such as Young Professionals group. You can sign up yourself and get as involved as you want to.
