Resourcing - social media - I work within the resourcing team, on their social media channels to raise their profile and credibility to get people to join the business. I post daily across our social media platforms, such as Linked In, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I work with an external company called 'Chatter communications' who help with employee branding to attract, recruit and engage the very best talent.
I am part way through my degree in business management, which I am studying at Bradford University. I have learned many skills within my time at Morrisons, such as time management, how to lead meetings, how to deal with customers and external businesses. I have also had many training courses within Morrisons.
I am enjoying the work a lot as it is something I am truly interested in. I have a great team around me and the early careers team who are supporting me every step of the way. The scheme has been higher than my expectations, as I have come to realise how good of an opportunity it is.
I feel valued from Morrisons, as there has been a lot of responsibility handed to me with looking after the businesses image across social media platforms. I am supported well by my manager and colleagues as they all want me to succeed within Morrisons.
It is good as we get a lot of exposure to different areas of the business yearly when we change placements.
I receive a lot of support and guidance as we have monthly catch ups to make sure everything is okay, and if there is anything I want to ask.
I receive a lot of support from my manager as I have weekly meetings, to go over the weeks task and discuss new opportunities.
My salary is good, but I commute every day, which takes around an hour 15 mins, which has proven running a car costs a lot. I would recommend moving closer to the workplace to save time and money.
There are plenty of events going on all the time outside of work, such as Summer BBQs, Christmas team meals, 5-a-side football with colleagues etc.
Yes
As it is a great environment to work in and there is endless opportunity
I would be yourself in the interviews and assessment days, be confident and get across how you could make a difference in the business.
