The First two weeks we were given an overview on a range of skills which are extremely important in to world of work and we were able to through different sessions learn and develop these skills. The last week we gained real life experience through working in one of the service lines.
I learnt a range of new skills and developed existing one. One main skill i learnt was negotiations skills through our work shops at a law firm which was very useful.
I really enjoyed this program as not only has it left me confident in being able to work after university but also has allowed me to make amazing friends who I'm still in contact with.
I feel very valued as even after the program has ended we still have opportunities to go back e.g. for a personal statement workshop which really were helpful.
The programme was really well structured s we had an opportunity to listen and speak to a different people such as current school leavers and employers who gave amazing advice.
I still am contact with my mentor who has given me an even clearer insight into EY and the roles and opportunities there are.
A lot of support
The salary was competitive.
There are a lot of opportunities outside work which I found a lot more about through this three week placement.
Yes
It gave me a real insight into the world of work and before this placement i was unsure of the path i wanted to take after university, but now i am sure what i want to do.
Don't be scared of the process, just be yourself and make sure you give examples during the interview to really show you have taken part in different things and if you haven't thats not a big problem.
