Manager-Logistics Various different tasks ranging from section management, to learning the different processes involved in logistics to allow for my development to a senior management role at the end of my apprenticeship.
Many different skills learnt. Skills include, working with people from different background, communication skills (developed), logical thinking, decision making... Trained to operate warehouse machinery, conduct disciplinary meetings, deal with food items. Professional skills in data handling, business improvement and minute taking.
The programme exceeded expectations and delivers on what was set out. I enjoy my apprenticeship programme, the team and Morrisons company values. The level of support offered is exceptional.
Lots of support is given from Morrisons at various different levels to ensure that I remain valued as both an apprentice but also as a Morrisons colleague. Morrisons has been able to spread its apprenticeship message across the company to ensure that no matter where I work, there is someone their to give me the support I need during my apprenticeship.
The programme has an organised structure, allowing me to gain a excellent understanding of the company. The programme also has flexible elements that have allowed me to take up opportunities in the work place to develop my skills and knowledge beyond that of the programme.
There are a number of people who support me during my apprenticeship from my apprenticeship buddy, mentor to scheme leader and managers. These people have good attitudes in supporting me and are more than happy to spend time to ensure that I have the ability to gain as much as I possibly can from my apprenticeship.
HR Team are there to provide support daily if there are any issues. There are further teams of people outside my normal place of work, at Head Office, to provide further assistance if needed. My scheme leader is available to offer guidance and answer any questions that I have. In general, the attitude towards me is supporting.
My salary is able to support my living costs for the area that I live in. It is further able to support my travel costs, to and from work. On top of this, it is also able to support my social costs allowing me to enjoy my time away from work. My salary can further support my daily living and meal costs.
Morrisons offers a wide range of outside opportunists due to its extensive amount of outside activities with charities and local communities. Morrisons further conducts a number of sporting activities such as charity pool tournaments. For further development Morrisons has worked with teenagers to give them insights into working life.

Morrisons will further provide a place to develop and take up new exciting opportunities that will be beneficial to long term career goals. Further, Morrisons company culture promotes colleague value, team work and cooperation.
Do plenty of research into the company. Try arranging work experience to gain an insight into the operation. It is important to understand the working environment before applying. Furthermore, it is essential to develop your communication and listening skills to put you in the best position for the application process.
