I was a Smart Futures Intern and within business week I had to help the other workers with any simple tasks they needed me to complete like PowerPoint making and changing specific slides. I had interactions with other interns and workers. We also did pitches and met many of the workers in the building.
I revieved certificates for my work at EY as well as confidence with new people, learning to lead and manage a team, pitch new ideas and work in a professional environment.
I enjoyed my programme and met some lovely people. The environment was very professional which I liked. It exceeded my expectations as I didn’t know much about EY and was happy to see it was a welcoming and friendly environment.
I felt very valued and happy there. My teammates missed me when we were split up for business week which was nice to feel. Our supervisor was always happy to see us.
Very organised, everyday there was something new to do with new people and set out PowerPoints showing planning was made before hand. There was a little confusion and lack of things to do with business week in my placement however this was due to my leader changing last minute. Overall it was structured and organised.
Whilst part of EY I had lots of support and everyone was friendly and willing to take time out to help which is nice for someone like me who was new to this whole environment.
My mentor or supervisor was always happy to help and create a conversation. She was very patient and able to help us with whatever worries and issues we had.
I had some costs like daily costs and travel costs so it did help lots.
We had a graduation event at then end of our time there which was a nice wrap up however I was just a summer intern so not sure if there are other events anymore.
Yes
It was a nice environment and a professional one, the people were all friendly and it felt very motivating and productive.
Research before hand so you have as many answers for the phone interview. Feel free to ask questions and be inquisitive- the workers there liked that. Participate in all the events and activities and work well as a team. Even if it’s not something you want to do in the future, take everything on board and make notes!
