My work experience consisted of a week of skills development where we learnt about budgeting, presentations, and other financial life skills. As well as this we shadowed a worker for a week where we had an indepth view into what aacounting consists of. We also spent a day at baker mckenzie where we learnt more about how accounting firms help other companies to work to their maximum potential
I learnt presentation skills that have probed cery useful at school when delivering assemblies and budgeting skills which have also aided me in the organisation of charity events in school
It was a lovely experience where i not only learnt very useful life and work skills but also made lifetime friends and created bonds that will help me in later life if I decide to follow my dream of setting up a business
It was a very personal experience in the sense that i felt like the people running the programme genuinely wanted to see me succeed.
It was very well organised and had a good balance of different activities
The programme leaders update me on anything regarding the programme
Very good support
it was very useful as it covered all of my travel/ food costs which was perfect
Since finishing at ey i have found that employers find it very helpful that i have such advanced work experience with a bug company like EY
Yes
Overall a lovely experience where i learnt life and work skills and made very good friends
Be yourself when applying for the work experience and if you do get into it enjoy every moment. Also get out of your comfort zone as this will prove to be very helpful with your confidence after the programme
