It is a remarkable company within which i feel safe and happy to work in, People here form a community amongst themselves and will aim to better each other's performance by helping one another.
I feel like a member of the team. I feel quite valued as i have been awarded the BRONZE NPL AWARD and have been invited to Whitehall in recognition of girls sorking/ studying science and engineering. i have also been invited to WISE campaigns which promotes women in Science adn Engineering aiming to reduce inequality betrween women and men in the sector.
Since the APprenticeship is being re introduced after 20 years NPL have done exceptionally well in preparing both the apprentices and staff members for the programme - providing support to apprentices in form of outreach programes and immediate contact with heads.
We receive very good training from CSR with an input every Friday and a 24/7 homework help email help. The training providers genuinely want to see us succeed and work towards our maximum potential.
NPL provides internal training to help us better understand our work and to increase our awareness of the importance of health and safety at word.
It is enough for some my travelling as the train costs approximately 754 per month and we earn 650 per month its a little strenuous but not something which i can't mannage.
Yes, its easy building a network of contacts within the company and outside the company as NPL host various events and are invited to many like WISE campaigns and STEMNET subject conferences.
Yes
It has been an amazing experience for myself, and it would be incredibly selfish not to recommend such a programme. It helps build us as indiciduals more profficiently as we are exposed to both work experience and acadamic research and lessons.
Having an inquisitive mind is optimal for any applicant and a genuine interest in physics is a must. If given this opportunity apply as not many science establishment are likely to provide this amount of work experience!
