Day to day making sure machinery is working. Taking samples to make sure everything is running properly and we’re getting the right results. Making sure equipment and machinery is clean and deragging equipment. Making sure the final product returning back to the river or lakes is safe to return to environment.
Yes learnt a lot. Learnt about everything which happens from flushing the toilet. Step by step process and the importance of flushing the right things to the importance of making sure the water returning to the river is safe. Not only that I’ve learnt a lot of people skills being able to communicate with new people and how to speak to them.
Being outdoors and on site majority of the time. I’m loving the hands on experience. Learning everyday but not only that. Being on the apprenticeship gives me, the opportunity to study and work at the same time. Learning and getting paid to work is good. You are never too old to learn.
Very well structed with a programme 6 months advanced. If you forget they are able to provide with an updated one. They will give you a every day programme to let you know what days you’ll have and what to expect when you come to work or college which makes things easy.
Very much supportive. Will check up on you all the time and make sure you’re getting on ok and finding things easy. They have people you can contact out of hours if you find that your struggling. But the management are very supportive and they are there if you need them.
Very supportive and will help out of hours to provide the right support. They will keep in touch if it may be by phone call or email. But they will check up on you to make sure every thing is going ok and will be there for you if you need the support.
Getting the work done is basically everything theory based I need to learn before getting on site. Every thing which I’ve learnt at college so far has set me up right for the based stuff on site which I am doing now. The theory based has been good and helped me well.
Yes. Plenty online which you can get involved in if you wish too. If unsure you can email HQ to find out what’s avaible if you may be unsure. So there is always something on for whoever may wish to apply or join in on events happening around the company.
