Fixing assets which have broken down on our sites for my area. My role is to maintain the assets so they work correctly and to keep our sites running effectively
I have learnt many new skills since doing the apprenticeship including lathe/milling work, welding, and other engineering skills to help me in my role.
I enjoy my job throughly every day, there is something new I learn all the time and I shall be finishing my working career with Severn Trent.
It is well organised but there is a lot of pressure but on us to complete parts of the programme which means trying to fit everything in.
I receive full support from my employer
I also receive a lot of support from my training provider.
I learn more when I’m on certain jobs carrying out tasks rather than completing assignments and paperwork.
Yes
It is a great company to work for and I highly recommend it.
To put maximum effort into your new job role and learn as much as you can to help you in your role and to help in the future.
