i am an apprentice aeronautical technician engineer. at the moment we are learning basic craft skills, such as fitting, aircraft fitting, electrical electronics, CAD and machining. as well as this, we study the theory of aeronautical engineering once a week in FE. on a day to day basis i interact with both my peers and senior members of staff..
yes, i had no engineering experience prior to undertaking this course however i know feel like i have the experience necessary to work on site now.
i enjoy it and i get on with the people i work with and for.
very valued, i am in regular contact with management and feel involved in any tasks or projects.

ok. i travel a lot to get to and from work so most of my wage is used on this, however my salary is fair
yes, not so much in first year, but there are lots of opportunities later on in the scheme

it is well paid, well supported and relatively secure. the working environment is pleasant also.
