Running a pub and managing staff ensuring that everything is safe and legal and conforms to Greene King's policies and procedures.
I've learned how to develop and train a team. Improved organisation skills and learned more about how sales affect the business.
I enjoyed the classroom based learning and learning about the other brands under Greene King's umbrella. The tutors that we had were fantastic and the training delivered by Lifetime Training was good also.
Classroom side of things were very well structured and the visits from the trainers was really good. However many changes did make things difficult, such as classroom locations and date changes.
My employers were great in giving me time to go to the classrooms, however I wasn't given much time to complete homework.
My tutor was brilliant, she spent a lot of time with and supported throughout the programme.
I have a better understanding of how to run a business and the tools used. It was good to know how politics, weather and environmental factors affect sales.
